Iceland - Wrong People | Single

Mi Croevkhas.
Вход: 300 рублей — предпродажа / 500 рублей — в день мероприятия.

Long Arm (Георгий Котунов)
Kid Koala.

Shigeto - Intermission | Album

Two years after Shigeto released his second full-length, No Better Time Than Now, the busy Detroit polymath, born Zach Saginaw, has finally taken a break from his endless hustle to update everyone on his current musical headspace. "I've been on the road for a long time now and also have been working on other projects," he explains. With projects that include working on a new live ensemble arrangement, playing electronics in a jazz quartet, recording with Detroit rappers, and building a new studio, it's no wonder we haven't heard much from him since 2013.

"I haven't found the next step for me yet. I've been making loads of music as always, but I'm still looking for that concrete new path." Shigeto's Intermission EP takes its title quite literally, then, presenting a snapshot of the artist's transition between ideas and inspiration. Indeed, listening to these six eclectic tracks evokes a dynamic sense of exploration, excitement, and stylistic freedom.

Saginaw describes Intermission as a collection songs that "point to the past, present, and future." His inimitable hallmarks are certainly there: the heavy drum-machine knock and jazzy synth flourishes of "City Dweller", that airy thumb piano in beat suite "Do My Thing", and "Pulse"'s percussive, polyrhythmic grooves. They mingle with some fresh sounds from Shigeto, too. Mystic pads creep into the mix—especially on beatless, textural drifts "Gently" and "Deep Breathing"—and there's a decidedly unhinged touch to how the producer uses samples, almost like he's teaching himself a new language. But don't get it twisted, there's no grand vision this time out. "They're not meant as a strong message," Saginaw clarifies, "but more of a taste, like a halftime show of sorts." So if Intermission is here to hold us over until Shigeto's next big event, the record's palpable depth and complexity say quite a lot about where the man is now and where he's headed.

Yppah - Tiny Pause | Pre-order | Album

Having amassed a legion of loyal fans with his signature blend of electronic, psychedelic and rock influences, the artist known as Yppah (pronounced “yip-ah”) is back with perhaps his most intimate work to date. Tiny Pause, due for release on Counter Records October 16, finds Yppah adopting an enormous technical shift in his writing process, moving away from largely software-based production and live instrumentation to modular synthesizers and samplers. Inspired in large part by 8mm footage and self-described “creepy/beautiful” archived film found on the internet, Yppah draws on the same palette of the living landscape, human memory and emotive warmth found in his prior work and magnifies it, echoing the sounds of Tycho, Baths and Boards of Canada.

Yppah (born Joe Corrales Jr.) has forged a career marked by ethereality and dynamism. Brought up on equal parts My Bloody Valentine and hip-hop, he has utilized a number of instruments and techniques in forging his place in the uplifting (yet firmly grounded) world his music inhabits. Previous records (2006’s You Are Beautiful At All Times, 2009’s They Know What Ghost Know, 2012’s Eighty One) have harnessed his cultural heritage and relentless curiosity to brilliant effect, landing placements in films (21), video games (Alone In The Dark) and television series (House, CSI) as well as taking him on tour around the globe.

Tiny Pause is informed in large part by shifts in Yppah’s life since his last work. Having toured the album, moved from Texas to Southern California and transitioned into more ambitious commercial work (for trailers, sound design and music libraries), Yppah soon found himself embracing hardware in a big way, buying and selling gear constantly while writing to find the best-suited combination for his workflow. The addition of two dogs to his home and a newfound hobby of surfing round out Yppah’s biggest influencers for the direction of the new record. And it all shows - the celestial dips and rises in “Occasional Magic,” the cascade of drums in “Little Dreamer,” the fractured ascent of “Spider Hands,” and the human-tinged glitches of “Neighborhoods” all point to an artist matured not only in sound but in perspective.

The New Law - The Fifty Year Storm | Album

This is the third chapter of the unknown hero, THE NEW LAW, who is leaving the barren waste after the battle at "High Noon". He joins some fellow fighters who venture out to sea, to escape certain death of the old land, and they sail forth to explore new worlds. He gradually learns the way of the sea through the rolling waves of the journey, but on the red horizon ahead, there's something brewing: something dark and sinister... and he's unwillingly heading straight into the storm of it.

"The New Law's 'The Fifty Year Storm' continues where "High Noon" left off. It's a beautiful, cinematic soundscape of warm electronics and chill horns that makes up the perfect soundtrack for the new year." - John Richards (KEXP, The Morning Show)

"THE NEW LAW - The Fifty Year Storm gets a "five"... it's "DJ Shadow meets Ennio Morricone in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and they kick some ass together and we get to watch". 5 out of 5, - Trippin the Rift

"This album takes you on a gorgeous and exciting adventure where action and crisis stand off against one another. A majestic album. " - Earmilk.com (Top Albums of 2012 So Far)

"Full of magnificently widescreen compositions blessed with a dazzlingly diverse instrumental palette." Dave Segal, 'Data Breaker', The Stranger

"The Fifty Year Storm is one of the best instrumental hip-hop albums that I have heard in quite some time... The Fifty Year Storm is hard for me to not listen to every day" - Innovative Music Blog

"An epic, wide-screen, and unapologetically dense blend of hip-hop-&-trip-hop that's laced with seething breakbeats and a web of samples and acoustic and synthetic sounds." - Textura Review

The New Law - High Noon | Album

An epic journey of deep, chest-pounding hip hop and broken beats layered with hypnotic soundscapes and mind-warping synths that create a beautiful balance of dirt and space.

"One of the best albums from the underground I've ever gotten."
- Kaska Paluch (editor-in-chief - www.80bpm.net)

"One the best and biggest surprises for me this year was The New Law's releases...beautiful, emotional, cinematic... Its near perfect"
- John Richards (The Morning Show, KEXP 90.3FM)

"The New Law sounds like moody, atmospheric, largely instrumental trip-hop genius."
- Ethan Georgi (properlychilled.com)

"This duo is versatile as can be. Ambient is a word that’s thrown around a lot. The New Law has proven that they know the meaning.”
- Dan Vidal (Urb Magazine)

"Deftly arranged, orchestrally inclined hip hop that evokes Ninja Tune's glory years and Portishead's doomed-romance aura."
- Dave Segal (The Stranger)
